To the University community,

In an effort to invest in CBU’s future, and enhance the overall student experience, CBU has begun a project to replace its legacy software systems – one that embraces Cloud architecture and Software as a Service (SAAS).  After a thorough industry assessment, CBU selected the software provider, Ellucian, and their cloud-based platform, Colleague.  Ellucian is the largest provider of global enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for post-secondary institutions and holds the highest share of university systems in Canada.

This important project is not simply an IT project but an organizational commitment to provide a better student and employee experience through the integration of Human Resources, Finance, Student Services, Recruitment, Admissions, Student Financial and Academic Records Management, Advancement and Communications & Marketing functions.

A project team consisting of CBU employees from various departments, IT analysts, and Colleague consultants has been created to take on the task of configuring the ERP engine to optimize CBU business processes.  The project is expected to take two years to complete and will ultimately simplify and enhance the CBU experience.
